Aldous Huxley, Miles Davis, Jimi Hendrix, The Beatles, Robert Anton Wilson, Salvador Dali, Grant Morrison, Jim Morrison, Carlos Castenada, Pink Floyd, William S Burroughs, Bill Hicks, Aleister Crowley, Timothy Leary, Edgar Allen Poe, Thelonious Monk, etc. etc. etc. all avid (consciousness expanding) drug users- so couldn't it be said that drugs have had some sort of positive impact on the world?

when i say "consciousness expanding" drugs- i'm referring to things like marijuana, LSD, psylocibe mushrooms, mescaline, DMT, ayahuasca, etc.

the drugs are irrelevant. these people you mention are all talented and intelligent people. Don't you think that they were that way before drugs were used? Drugs seemed to definately have an enhancing effect on creativity, perspective, etc.but are not the end-all solution.

That wasn't cause by drugs actually. The artist would of did that great things without drugs. most of those artist didnt even do drugs when they were writing Jimi Hendrix, Bob Marley didn't and more, You like T. Monk thats cool i thought i was the only youth that listening to Rock Rap and Jazz

yes they have had positive effects in the past but with the passing of time comes new drugs from new people who want a new more deadly high. drugs now are getting more dangerous, more addictive. ill burn one down or eat some lt's with the best of them but youve gotta be an idiot to do something like heroine
