I was thinking it might be the round-ligament pain. I'm 37 weeks pregnant and I still have sore spots on my stomach, right at the sides above my hip bone and it doesn't go away.

If it gets too painful, try a warm compress, not too hot, but take a washcloth soaked in warm water and lay it on the spot that hurts.

Hope the pain dies down!

Since it's your third child, the round ligaments that support the uterus may be stretched or pulled. Round ligament pain really hurts when you're lying down and try to get up too fast. If this pain is in the same place as that, then it might be ligament pain.
You could try a tummy support made for pregnancy. Just do a search for "pregnancy stomach support" and you should find it.
I'd also definitely ask about it at your next OB check-up.

Maybe your baby kicking you is making you sore on the inside, thus causing you to be sore when you lay on your belly. Your baby might be more of a kicker than your other children. Regardless, you should talk to your obgyn if you are concerned.

Could be round ligament pain. I had it my second pregnancy and it hurted soooo bad. No matter what I was doing. The ligaments around your uterus and stuff is stretching and that causes pain.

Describe it to your OB.

When I was pregnant the doc told me it was because my stomach and utterus was expanding so ofcourse it would be sore. I am prenant again and getting really bad cramps.... it starts when your baby starts moving around

Yes. It'll probably feel like PMS cramps, or a sharp pain that doesn't really go away in your lower abdomen.

It is called Round ligament pain and it is normal. Your baby is growing rapidly at this point and your uterus and everything else is stretching to make room.
