Just like you, many have felt the same way. But I do not think you are born in the wrong era. You may look at your situation this way.
If you think and are certain that you have been born too early for the present time, the world truly needs you to help them for the future. You may be weird to the rest, but just take a reading about those who were judged to be insane like Galileo, Newton and many others and later were proven to be the men of the future and fathers of many inventions.
If you think you were born late because you prefer to live in the past and enjoy historical events in the early stages of the earth, then maybe you are needed to remind people of doing things a little slower so changes may not be so abrupt that it may bring chaos to many minds and the condition of the world. The present uncertainties happening around are normally due to people who are confused as what is proper to be done by humanities, is it the quick and radical change, the status quo or the slow process of development. Truly we should evolve to progressive condition and advancement in life but things should be carefully carried out and in either era you think you may be, the world needs you now. So, do not be afraid to stand up and be counted. Everyone is uniquely made to a different shape in order to fit into the great jigsaw puzzle of a perfect world.

I feel that way because the world is so screwed up and I rightfully feel as if I don't belong here. Life was different when I was a teenager over 30 years ago. It began to change radically around the time Kennedy was shot. There was a shift, a rather negative one in many respects, of morals, ideas about right and wrong, respect for others and ones self, etc. Now, it seems everywhere you look it's about sex, sex this and sex that. You'd think we were a bunch of animals without any common sense or control over our bodies. Just a bunch of animals in heat! Personally, I am quite sick of it, you see a lot of trash thought on this site that further validates what I have said.

I often felt this way when I was younger. I think it's a reaction to the harshness of life when you are sensitive. Also the kind of upbringing you have SOMETIMES has a lot to do with it. Now I am just glad to live in the NOW because it is an interesting time.
I always thought the 1940s would have been nice but is that because my parents were teenagers then? They had a lot of 'big band era' records and played them at home.

there's a huge part of me that feels i became born too early, that one hundred years from now may be more effective constructive. notwithstanding the older i'm getting, i'm so drained and that i lengthy for the days at the same time as a lady had a range of no matter if to artwork outdoors the domicile. I basically dont have that decision anymore, nor do I extremely have a "housewife" doing the homecare interest for me. I artwork them both.

it is so nice to know I am not alone, I belong in a time where everything wasnt vulgar, when sex wasnt used to sell everything under the sun!(Im so tired of seeing people shaking their rears) where people respected others rights and privacy. When everyone wanted to help each other, now everyone just wants to save everything but the children, it seems. When did all the weird people come out from hiding, and lose all their modesty? Oh my, how I could go on and on......and yes its hard to live in a world, that you just feel you dont belong in!

I often think that I'd like to have been born a hundred years ago or so. I think it's because I'm afraid of change. But there's nothing wrong with being old-fashioned, and I'm sure you can find plenty of like-minded people with whom you can share your temporal displacement.

I feel like that too. I think I should've been born a native american... or a hippie in the 60's. I know what you mean. I always think this century is the worst. I wish we could go back in time.. where there wasn't war or hate. *sigh*

Your soul might still be used to your previous life/lives and wants to keep living in the era of that/those life/lives.

No such thing as the "Good Old Days"! Really consider all that we have going for us. Approach the future with the attitude of improving your lot and those whom you come in contact.
