Are you considering suicide or your spouse?
If it's your spouse this might be considered as evidence against you at her murder trial.
Can you say motive?

It doesn't matter how a spouse dies, the surviving spouse is responsible for any debt incurred during the marriage. Most life insurance policies have clauses stating there will be no payment made in the event the person dies from a suicide.

I certainly hope you're not planning anything for yourself or your wife. You've got to admit, though, it's a strange question.

If it is a community property state, then it doesn't matter about how a person dies...All debt responsibility rolls to the spouse.
