Tom Selleck about 20 years ago would have been perfect. Today, I would go with Clive Owen or Brendon Fraser.

The greatest thespian of all time: Owen Wilson
There could be a scene in which Iron Man flies over a nudist colony, stops and just hovers for a few minutes.
If they script it right, it may even snag Owen an Oscar nomination.

George Clooney would be perfect. He has the acting chops and the class. I know he did Batman, but that was more bad writing and directing than anything else. He's the best choice.

Me. I can use the work, I'm an unknown, and I would probably work a little cheaper than most of the members of the Screen Actors' Guild.

Will Ferrel, but only if he keeps his anchor man mustache. Ben Stiller could be the villan. They pulled it off in Zoolander. That would be friggin' hilarious.

No one we should know. It should be an unknown, much like Brandon Routh and Hugh Jackman were. A known name would be to distracting.
