No, not unless you really do like it. You're at an age when you will be subject to lots of peer pressure to like things other people like simply because they do. There are probably as many ways to deal with these situations as people have opinions. I'd advise you to be true to yourself. Yeah, I know, it's a hackneyed old phrase, but it's still good advice. Unfortunately, some people--like your friend--may put you down or give you a hard time because you don't like what she likes. Well, that's her problem! At least she knows where you stand, and in the long run she'll hopefully be more appreciate of your honesty, especially if she's truly a friend. There are likely many things you like that she doesn't, but she may not tell you because she doesn't want to offend you. So be it! Developing a healthy sense of who you are and what you like is a natural part of growing up and shaping your identity. Your attitude toward many topics and things will change as you grow older. Your taste in clothes, music, and even friends will change. But through it all, you will be you--and people will appreciate you more if you can tell them where you sit before you tell them where you stand. Translation: know what you like and why you like it so that if anyone asks you can tell them assuredly, "Yes, I do like this or no, I don't like that--and I don't care whether you do or not!"

Why should what someone else thinks affect whether or not you like something? You know if you like it or not because either you like it or you don't. What other people think about that same thing should not matter.

Not unless you really do like it. It's much more important that you have a mind of your own, and your own opinions, than it is to always agree with someone else just because you think that's what they'd like!

No, we all are different and we all have our own likes and dislikes, to like something just 'cause another does sound's as if your trying to impress them.

No, you should always make your own decisions. Be your own person, and don't let other people influence who you are. Good luck!
