That ideas and life are bigger than me and that I should know my place. Just like theater is bigger than shakespeare and basketball is bigger than MJ. Also, the amount I serve others will be more important than the amount I serve myself.
The seemingly apparent advantages are that the world becomes a better place for all, because of this self-regulation.
That's the truthiness.

A pessimist looks for the worst. An optimist looks for the best. A realist sees things the way they are. An idealist sees the way things ought to be. A cynic is an idealist who has been disappointed once too often.
Based on the above definitions, I'm a cynic. The advantage is, I can still see how things ought to be (like an idealist). The disadvantage is a tendency to sometimes overlook the good that is because of seeing the better that there should be.

My attitude in general is very good, considering the world I am living in these days. My attitude towards life is good too. I attribute those outlooks on a few things; my character is one that is optimistic, I have great faith in God and His promises, I don't hold grudges, I live my life in the best way possible and I stay away from people that are negative, unsupportive, that live their life from the wrong perspective. The advantages are that you live a better life, you have more joy, feel better about yourself and life.

I am an atheist and I use that as a framework for my attitude on life. Basically, there is very little in life that is actually worth worrying about. I just try to enjoy it while I'm here, and when I'm dead, then I'm dead, so who cares? Don't sweat the small stuff, in other words. Life is about love and friendship and art, not parking tickets, homework assignments or worrying that I'm not making the most of my time on Earth.

If you know the serenity prayer, that's a great start, but my best attitude towards life is to not let my attitude affect others attitudes. If you think about it then there attitude would be different then it would normaly be because of me. I'm confused.

Well, it varies. Sometimes my attitude is a big 'HELL YEAH!' and sometimes I like to just sit back and breathe it (life, everything) in. Advantages? I'm happy.
