In Portland Oregon there is a little Indian Place called Nicholas. It is like the best. There is also a pizza place in Woodburn (Like 30-45 min away.) called Flying Pie. These are my favorite places to eat in the Portland area.

Ringside has the best steaks anywhere, Virginia Cafe has a great happy hour, and Tavern and Pool on NW 23rd has excellent microbrews. For a movie go to the Mission or Baghdad theaters. A little ways out of town on US 26 there is a place called the Helvetia Tavern and it has the best burgers I've ever had in my life.

I liked eating at almost any McMenimans location, mainly for the beer. I always liked going to the zoo, the Japanese gardens and the rose gardens. OMSI was always sort of cool, even more so when my friend Eric started working as a cook there. I haven't been out there for over three years though, I miss it. I live in Denver now.

There is a great Lebanese place on 10th and Yamhill called "Habibi". Really good food and a great atmosphere. It is a little hole in the wall place.

OMSI was cool. The Rose Garden is beautiful. There is a pizza place by PSU which was really good. I wish I could remember the name of it though. Everything was handmade and wonderful.
