It was in the news quite a bit...perhaps you were away or very busy at work, etc. He died just over 2 months ago - June 23rd. It was quite a news item here in Toronto as his daughter, Tori had just appeared at the MuchMusic Awards and Mr. Spelling's name was all the buzz as he'd just suffered the stroke that led to his death...a very talented and gifted man who holds the world's record as the most prolific TV producer...

If you watch the Entertainment news, there was quite a bit, including all the drama between tori and her mother after it, but you are not going to hear it on regular local news stations. Watch shows like access hollywood, extra, insider etc.

Try using IMDB.com I get a lot of info from there about celebs and movies.
I also keeo my Yahoo front page open for news. That is how I found out about Mr. spelling. And most recent Mr. Gibson's arrest and apology.
