Well everyone has flaws and they don't like them to show. Would you?

I think for certain things it's not a bad idea. It's not bad to airbrush a pimple or scratch that wouldn't be there originally. But to change the natural topography of the body or face is just plain silly. Some people like actors and actresses because of the way they look but that doesn't mean that they wouldn't love them just as much if they had a big fat mole on their forehead...it might actually make a person like that actor more. Having natural flaws makes a celebrity more "human" to the fans more accessible and certainly more than just a picture on a piece of paper.

That's what they do to keep the public thinking they are much more beautiful than they are. They are average people like anyone else. As for the comment "better than being airbrushed in real life", they do get airbrushed in real life. It gives perfect coverage. Just watch Next Top Model or Project Runway , all of the models get airbrushed before they walk the runway. It's quite beautiful and fascinating to see.

I think it shows them in a false light. I saw a picture of Eva Longoria and I do not look at her the same. Not that I feel she is any less of an actress, but if celebrities were more honest about the way they look it might help us as celeb crazed Americans realise they are just normal people.

I think it's unfair to the general public who is extremely obsessed with weight and the way we dress. There is no way we'll ever look like the celebrities on magazines. Their lives revolve around working out and looking good because that's what they live off of. Their looks. I wish our society wasn't so shallow.

Some exactly prefer to be airbrushed. They think that if they appear skinner, then they look good. Not realizing when they are in public they're going to look totally different, as in fatter, and more wrinkled

That it gives a false pretense as to what a person does in reality and should look like. I was looking at a completely Air Brushed pic of Pam Anderson the other day. She looked 23 years old. And I think we all know better then that.
