Since I don't know you, I'd be rather put off. I can assure you, you would not recieve a "warm friendly" hug in return. You would likely be the recipeint of an awkward pat on the back.

I used to go up to girls and just start french kissing them. Their boyfriends and husbands would'nt know what to do. They were not sure to be mad at me or her. It's almost like I put a spell on them. Sometimes it led to one night stands. But it was all rather shallow in the end. Now I'm married and it does'nt happen anymore. My friends still talk about it from time to time.

My response would be based on wether the hug you gave was a full frontal hug or and hip-to-hip hug. It definitely matters!
