Let's think about this carefully: not through the eyes of religious superstition or through the eyes of science but rather with common sense.
Whether God/Creator/Great Architect Of The Universe/Originitar (call it what you will) is alive or dead, is not what Nietzsche was referring to. By stating that 'God is Dead', Nietzsche was essentially saying that for all intents and purposes, God may as well be dead. Why? Here are just a few reasons:
1) It makes no difference in our lives.
2) People have been suffering for thousands of
years.
3) We do not know if there is a purpose for our creation and if there is one, we don't know what it is.
4) We all die.
Point number 4 is the most important. Think about it or not.

Well primarily because he was an atheist. But less importantly he believed that religion chained people to a belief system that was not in their best interests. Nietzsche's idea of a perfect person (Ubermenche) was someone who could overcome the standard concepts of good and evil and establish a personal set of ideals that matched that person's goals.
"Man is a strange beast. He cannot make a worm, yet he can create gods by the dozen." - Nietzsche

Nietzsche declared "God is Dead" because he saw that God was dead in Europe, there was not too many true Christians around in the 19th century in Europe. 19th century Europe was a recurrence of the age of reason in Europe. Something to keep in mind Nietzsche is a nihilist. Nietzsche also said since there is nothing to replace christianity then the state would replace it.

He was an atheist who believed that the concept of god was invented by people. Since people could achieve the level of a god by becoming a super man, there was no need for the concept any more because god was no longer special. Thus, "god is dead"

I believe that Nietzsche is trying to imply that much like our own rebelous children often do, we have cast away our Father and denied his place in our lives mostly out of our own arrogance. this denying his existance.

with the aid of fact usually whilst all and sundry is quoted asserting that they have basically executed some heavily tousled crime often homicide or hate. besides the undeniable fact that i went on google and located some good examples: (Which ought to advance some eyebrows) God informed me to construct a church God informed me to sell my homestead and supply it to the church God informed me to purchase a lottery value ticket God informed me i might win the sport yet you dont right here right here: God informed me to pass to my interior of reach neighbourhood and feed starving toddlers God informed me to return and forth to africa and build a properly God informed me to shun money God informed me to sell my homestead and pass to brazil and open an orphanage God informed me X became praying for help to pass to THEM and grant help in my call. you spot whilst they say god informed me its often approximately THEMSELVES its never approximately others. God does not exist and not informed every person to do something, there very own mind's eye would perhaps have been insane on the time.
