All this negativity about us. I believe maybe we should. just set up a huge defensive umbrella. No more aiding people who complain about us, etc. No more defending other countries who put us down. Put all our monies back into our own country and problems. Its just a thought.

I guess after reading what a lot of negative things people (mostly Americans I guess) have to say about our foriegn policies etc. I guess maybe I am a bit bitter.

The USofA is a beautiful country. It has shone the beacon of freedom in some dark corners over the last 100 or so years. Some among you have an arrogant belief that It is the center of all things good and just. The majority of the rest of the worlds peoples are intelligent, caring and hard-working as well. Y'all don't seem do get that.
Set up a huge defensive umbrella? Don't you see, you've already done that. You send troops world wide to defend imperialism, not to spread freedom. What you have now is the reaping of what you have sown.

I'm an American raised in Europe who now lives in Canada, so this might qualify me to answer: In the case of Iraq, most definitely we should have stayed home.
I realize the unfairness of other countries judging all Americans for the actions of a few, without realizing that more than 50% of Americans do not represent or support the actions of our present Administration.

You think they hate us now, just see what would happen if we pulled our aide from them and left them on their own. I'm for it though. Any country (but Israel) that is getting aide from us should be cut off immediately. We should bring our boys back home and leave it to the UN to defend the poor and helpless. Of course the UN peacekeepers commit some of the wort atrocities there are. Raping little girls they are supposed to be delivering food too, etc.

How about as Americans we put a stop to American Hegemony? Actions committed by our government and corporations using our tax dollars for policies that don't add any value to the issues that Americans want settled here at home.

The world needs a policeman, otherwise there will be no order and piece, as it has always been in the past. Nobody has so much experience in global affaires as the U.S.A. and Great Britain. Other civilized nations must show loyalty and discipline, and do their best in the areas allocated to them.

i am not American and i never saw America except on TV of course,but i always see Americans as good people.i just hate the government but not the people.Helping people has nothing to do with who they are ,in country we sometimes helped our enemies.a man must help a man whoever he was or he is.
