Then complain about the hanging around out side of stores? I work for CVS Pharmacy in a downtown area and we have a problem w/ crack whores and panhandlers, my customers give them money and then turn around and complain to me about being approached in the paking lot! Well if you people wouldn't give them money they wouldn't have any reason to come around! No these people aren't begging to feed their family it's for crack and beer, I know the crack house is across the street from my location, I see them run for it if they get a couple $. I am continually running them off but people keep giving them money just keeps them coming back! STOP IT!

It is out of control and the police know every one of them by name and have even raided the crack house, one week later they back open 4 business! Trust me I know most of the PD by name now!

Because people genuinely want to "help"...it makes them feel good that they did something nice...but in the end they are idiots because they contribute to the crack and booze problems. Trust me, they will NOT get food with it! They will go days without food just to get that next crack fix...plus it completely curbs their appetites. The best thing to do is drop a dime to the local police station and fill them in on the situation.

I wouldn't give money to an able bodied person, especially one living downtown near a shelter and food kitchen. Donate to the shelter instead. Better yet, volunteer.

But I do help kids and terminally ill people living in other countries since they have no where to go. They don't have shelters or food kitchens. It's just them and the street.

Call the police before it gets out of control.

They are just trying to be nice and hoping they will take it to get food.

People do it for self satisfaction, no realizing they are helping to kill these people with drugs and alcohol.
