Oh boy, you'll love this. Our Service Unit did a Mother/Daughter Mardi Gras event, and it was such a great sucess.
* We did it at a "assisted living center" (elderly people live there)
* Girls and their moms made Mardi Gras floats out of shoe boxes and decorated them and we had a parade by dragging them around the facility singing songs, banging pots and blowing noise makers.
* Girls and their moms played Mardi Gras bingo
* Girls and their moms had a scavenger hunt around the center looking for signs that had Girl Scout trivia on it, while filling out a scavenger hunt form for a prize.
* They made Mardi Gras masks
* They made Jester Hats
* "Catch the Jester" using a blow up jester and a hula hoop.
Each event they got golden coins and cashed them in for 'prizes' at the end of the event. It was awesome.
Oriental Trading is a wonderful place for Mardi Gras stuff and we used www.joycrest.com for their Mardi Gras patch.

This isn't exactly the season for Mardi Gras. I'm sure there are lots of websites that could help you, but I'm not sure why you'd want to have a Mardi Gras party now for girl scouts.

Mardi Gras is Fat Tuesday in French. It is a celebration of Lent right before Easter. What does it have to do with Girl Scouts?
