That's a tough one. I know some diseases cause unbelievable pain and suffering. I sure wouldn't want one of my loved ones to go through that. I mean, even if I could do something to help them, where I wouldn't get caught by authorities, it would tear me up mentally that I helped my loved one DIE. I mean, how would I know if my loved one wouldn't change their mind and be thinking, "...no, I don't want to go this way...", but it would be too late.
Maybe this isn't "enough", but I think the best I could do would be to stay beside my loved one to offer comfort and support, and just pray that God will take my loved one soon.

I was in a similar situation several years ago. I couldnt and wouldnt do it. All I could do was pray for an end and not a prolonged suffering. After three days it happened quietly and quickly. Was my prayer answered? I don't know but it seemed that way at the time.

That's what my Oma (she was in a hospice, having seizures every 30 minutes, was completely out of it and when she did talk she made no sense whatsoever and she was in extreme pain that they wouldn't give her medicine for because if they increased the dosage it would have killed her tht way.) asked my uncle to do but when my mom found out she took all her medicine to the hospice so they could destroy it.
I think it would depend on really what's going on.

Only if they are tryly suffering. Perhaps I'm saying this cause I know it wouldn't happen to me. It's easier to say something than actually doing it. Nevermind.. I don't think I would do it. I love everyone too much. Plus.. I could get charges for murder >.<
Wait.. Unless they are in a vegetative stage... I would suport the "pull the plug" so they could be in peace ^_^

I don't think I could help them die. I am not God so it is not in my hands. I have prayed that God would stop someone's suffering if they were truly on at death's door and both times they passed on within minutes. He knew it was time not them nor me.

A very close relative of mine died of a brain tumour 3 years ago and he suffered terribly but I could not have helped him to die.

Tragic though it is there's always hope. How would you feel if you ended a loved one's life and something was found that could have helped half an hour later?

Thats a really hard question to answer, but i don't think i would be able to help someone i loved die. but at the same time, it must be so hard seeing someone like that, i don't think anyone can really answer unless they in that situation.

I do not think i could kill someone i love, although i do believe if someone wants to die then they should have the right to die properly with respect.

Of course, I mean what kind of llife is worth living like that...They'd be in too much pain to really enjoy life anymore, and besides if i was in their place that's exactly what i would want.....so it's just common courtesy. Besides if you really loved them and was asked to, how could you not?
