I think that they can be fun when used in moderation. I think many people in our society, both adults and children, end up abusing video games and becoming unhealthily addicted to them. This isn't to say all people are like that, but I see more and more kids inside playing video games than outside playing with their friends.

How dare you ask such a question! Video games don't kill brains, they excercise them. When playing a game, the game requires you to think, read, and use your hands, and are also fun. Games are expensive, but in my opinion they are worth every penny. Also video game companys employ millions of people around the globe. If you have a problem with games "YOU HAVE NO SOUL!!!"

I think they build eye/hand coordination, and can be used for teaching. All in all I think they are a way of keeping people entertained while the real issues are slipped passed, that and there is HUGE money in it.
