Why do the uninformed compare Powell and Rice? Is it because they are black?

If the comparison is made purely because they are black only demonstrates the Racist nature of American Society.

Powell, is a war hero. A man of utter integrity. A person who can show clearly how he attained his high office.

Rice on the other hand is a Poodle, The over-promoted Lacky of the Bush Administration and until this point I implore anyone to state anything definitive that she has done. Even during this crisis, she cannot even stamp her authority and has just gone along and rubber-stamped her bosses wishes.

So please pay respect to an American hero and do not attach his name to dross.

I repeat why not with Albright.? I see much of a similarity there as the only two women to hold the post. Racist America speaks again.

Unfortunately the racist nature of American society. Their is no comparison for me personally, Powell has integrity and Rice does not. How she can still "stay the course" with Bush is a crystal clear illustration of her lack of integrity.

No because of their background in ice skating. Powell was a famous mens figure sakter and Rice was almost Olympic quality.

Their racial connection has nothing to do with anything here. The only thing that Colin Powell and Condoleeza Rice have in common, is that they know what the Secretary of State office represents. Otherwise, they are as individual as you and I. As to what one's point of view is over another, that would be difficult to know. I wish that whatever Colin Powell represented was correct in its overall nature. As a woman and a Black person, Rice has her work more than cut out for her. I wish all of these people who represent us, in one way or another, maintain the peace and understanding to work things out with our friends and enemies around the globe. i understand what you are asking here and it is a good question. but the reason these tow are being comparied is mr. powell was a big help to bush when he was pushing for a the war and in my opinion one big very big reason bush pulled off this scam of a war. with that being said fox new was the leader of a big media blitz that was trying to make rice seem as good as mr powell. so when rice got her big promition the american public tried to make a comparesm and most found out what you are asking to be the case. very interresting the way the media works dont you think. thanks again for this verygood question.

I don't compare them by the colour of their skin. I compare them because they're both war mongers. I'm a pacifist, so I don't like either of them and what they are doing. Oh and the fact that they're mates with GW Bush, that doesn't win them brownie points in my eyes either. Has nothing to do with the colour of their skin, I happen to love black people. It could be because Powell preceded Rice as NSA. They had the same job under G.W. This could be about the perception of racism instead of the real thing.
