Yes there is a cover charge at most of the nice places, However there are free tickets available at several of these and several have free nights for the women. (the men pay full price on these nights)

Go to the concierge and ask what is available they will be glad to help you.

NONE of the bars have cover charges but the clubs do and depends when you get there it may be a discount for tourist

I live here and yes, most of them do. The best way to get out of paying it is to get free passes from the guys that hang out on the strip. They hang out around Imperial Palace. They just ask for tips. They have tickets to most clubs in Las Vegas. Take it from a local....

Some...most of the clubs do. If it looks like it has a cover charge, usually there is. Bring lots of money anyway, because if there's no charge, the drinks are expensive anyway.

Some - places like Rumjungle and Studio 54 do. But the local bars/lounges don't unless there's a special event.
