Try opening control panel, clicking on Internet Options, and in the space for your home page, type in http://www.yahoo.com. I don't know if this will work or not but it is the first thing I would try.

I will assume that you are using a popular web-browser. In which case, you may click the icon next to the URL (it looks like a Y for Yahoo). Hold down the left mouse button and move the mouse (e.g. 'drag the icon') until it is over the 'home' button. In most browsers, this button looks very much like a house. Once there, let go of the left mouse button. A quick little confirmation box will come up, click 'yes'.

There may be other reasons why this is happening, but I couldn't imagine any virus changing it to the Gateway homepage.

Go to the page you want to call home. From there click on Tools at the top of the browser / click on Internet Options in the menu that drops open / in the Options window that pops open, at the top in a little window is your current home page address... Click the button below it that says "use current". This will set the current page you are viewing to your homepage. Click Apply button on bottom/ click OK. Should work fine now. Oh yeh, ignore the other's comments about cookies and such.. They have nothing to do with setting your home page.

Not the greatest with comps but try this.... go to the control panel and click on internet options. when that open delete the addy in the window and replace with www://yahoo.com.. if you have personalized Yahoo then its www://my.yahoo.com and hit apply. That should set the comp to Yahoo. If you still haveing problems then do the following a full systen scan for spybot and the like Lavasoft has a fine free program. do a virus scan. Yahoo has a good spyware program and MS has one. I regularly use 3 or 4 programs to clean my machine as no one program will do the job. then get a good firewall agin Lavasoft has come up with a fine one runs about 40 dollars. As I said I am not the greatest when it comes to computers but one thing I did learn was to keep the machine clean of all the nasties out there.Other people may have better answers

Your Internet explorer must accept cookies.
See if your Internet explorer is set to accept cookies. This can be done by following the following instructions:

To allow cookies from Yahoo: Go to Tools>Internet Options>Privacy tab>Sites button> type "yahoo.com" (no quotes) then click allow then OK.
