I'm scottish and the best scottish music you can find is Runrig - in my opinion :) They are a scottish band that have been around for 30+ years and have a big fan base in scotland, england, denmark and germany. Their music is very poetic and absolutely amazing. Their website is www.runrig.co.uk . You can buy their albums off of amazon or their own site.
I also suggest maybe a collection of scottish bagpipe music, also good to listen to. :)

But be careful the type of dvds you buy depending on the type of player you have. European dvds may not play on US equipment.
