I was cleaning my fish tank and didnt have a place to temporarily hold my gold fish... inadvertently putting him in a glass containing beer. Two minutes later it was brain dead...although it still moves its tail. Any hope of revovery?

Well, That was'nt a smart thing to do. Fish need Oxygen to swim. Beer doesnt provide oxygen because of it's alchahol content. You should give the fish some fresh water and let it wim a bit, and hopefully, the fish will get better.

I'm guessing this is a joke... Nobody would actually do this to a fish (even a goldfish deserves better).

The nicest thing you could do for it now is to put it out of its' misery by putting it in a cup of water and put it in the freezer for a couple of hours (the most humane way to put down terminally ill or damaged aquarium residents).

this is a first. i'm going to say no because fish take the oxygen out of the water to live. not sure if putting the fish in beer was a good move to start with..where was your head?? but 2 of my goldfish just died early this morning...but they was like old as hell too.

Ahhhh, fish+beer=dead fish. First of all, there are WAY too many chemicals in beer are too strong for a fish. Second of all, beer is too carbonated, Fish need to breath disovled oxegen that is found in water, not carbon dioxide.

Only until it dies, or in the case of your fish, gets brain dead.
