I used a stiff brust to work over the indentions to bring some of the nap back up. Given time the fibers will relax and stand up. You should place furnature coasters under the legs to spread out the pressure and move the furnature every so often a few inches.

Here's one that worked for me -- ice cubes. I let the ice cubes melt in the impacted carpet, then scraped at it with a spoon, and it sprang back to pretty close to the original carpet. They I laid a towel on it and stamped out the water, and ran a comb across it. Like new. Hope it works for you.

what works fro me-use some spray carpet cleaner and brush the towards the middle of the hole and let dry. Then vacuum.

this is gonna sound stupid, but it worked for me. take a spoon and gently dig at it then sweep. it may take more than once but it should work.
