i would put chapstick on first, then put the lipstick, then put some clear gloss. that should make it look alot better.

This indicates that either
a.) your lipstick is drying
or
b.) your lips are dry
How to fix this? Use a moisturizing balm or chapstick first, then apply lipstick --they'll fix it well :]
Also what lipstick are you using that does this?

You can buy a lipstick that is clear and it's a "base" lipstick. It prevents "bleeding" (which is what your problem is called), and fading. I know that Sally Hansen and N.Y.C. each sell this product for sure. Other brands probably sell it but I'm not sure which ones. Just go to your drug store and check it out. Or, go to a nicer cosmetics store like Ulta or Sephora, and ask a cosultant.

the thing with lipstick it doesnt have any moisturizers in it whatsoever. whenever i wear lipstick i put a sheer gloss over top of it. it makes those nasty cracks go away and makes your lips look bigger.

first apply yur favorite CHAPSTICK on yur lips,
then apply any LIPSTICK, preferby not those moisture ones..
they bring out yur cracks
lastly, u can put a clear lipgloss over yur lipstick, u can get ones w/o the shine so it looks like u have wonderful lips!
hope it helps!

I use pencil that matches exactly the color of the lipstick.
For me it's like this: I like soft juicy lipstic because it's not overdrying, but it tends to wick up into every tiny line. So I use pencil to countour my lips and to preven that lipsick from creeping up where it's not supposed to.

You need another product,a lipstick primer that provides coverage over the lines in your lips. Many cosmetics companies make them. Try looking at sephora.com.
