If someone found it, what could they do with that information?

I got the driver's license a few years ago before I realized that you shouldn't have your SSN on it.

Identity fraud if they didn't send it back to you or throw it away.

A lot of things since your name, address, and other personal items are listed on the card. Start checking your credit report. Get a new license and leave the SSN off of it.

You don't want your ssn on the license. Your identity can be stolen easily enough if an unsavory person know it. Matter of fact, just this morning, there was a talk program on this--protecting your ssn.
Not to display it or any such thing.

contact the DMV and also Social Security. Theft of identity is easy and common. Protect yourself.

They can get a credit card in your name (explaining that you have moved address), have the card sent to your "new" address, and spend up to and beyond your limit before you or the credit company are any the wiser!
