How many of you out there are going to celebrate it and how? Any suggestions? I have tried baking cakes previously and cooking is not really my thing...so I want to go out with friends or cousins...but that really doesn't feel close to celebrating FOR him, does it? How are the rest of you going to celebrate it?

since the other answers are crap here's what i would do. have a movie marathon of all the harry potter movies. read the latest hp book and analyze it, or act out your favorite scenes in the book/movie and make your friends or cousins guess what book its from. since baking isn't your thing, and it's not mine either, get a washable marker and draw the lightening scar on their foreheads. then you guys try to be harry when his scar is hurting and what he would look like. the person who does it best gets to ride on the broom (firebolt?)

sorry if my ideas suck. and who cares if he's a fictional character ,we're allowed to have imaginations - it's not illegal. to those people who thinks its scary to celebrate a fictional characters birthday, then why do you celebrate christmas? hm?

You are joking, right? You are not seriously going to celebrate the birthday of a fictional, fantasy character, please tell me you are not. If you really are serious, I suggest you get a life, and get some help, and do it quickly. Stop what you are doing right now, go outside, take a walk, play some music, call a friend or family member. Try reading another book, a classic by Hemingway, Jane Austen, Hawthorne, ANYTHING besides Harry Potter. Best of luck to you, and I hope you get well.

Lighten up, folks. At least she's into the books, any books, enough to care. A friend of mind likes to ask HP fans which they fear more, the idea of death in general or the idea of dying before they get to read the last book (which of course brings gasps and shudders from a true fan).

If I were going to celebrate his birthday, I'd get three friends (and a parent, if necessary), hop on board the nearest train with a bunch of sugary snacks, and pretend like I was on the Hogwarts Express. (Heck, if you're English you can even go to Kings Cross station to start the adventure.)

im not into harry potter but why don't you see if a local store can make a cake with harry potter design or theme. i've seen 2 of the movies but haven't touched the books so i'm not all that into it. kinda sad that the last book is coming out though...i thought the series would go on for longer than it has.

That is kind of an odd thing to do. But if you must celebrate why don't you have a movie fest and watch all the movies back to back. I am definitely not celebrating this wondrous event.

are you close personal friends with harry potter??? why would you celebrate his birthday then??? c'mon! why dont you invest your time in something important and that matters...throw a party for some kids who dont have the means to have parties. have a movie marathon of harry potter for some kids who have no supervision ... whatever floats your boat. just make it count for something!!!

okay, first of all, your situation is sad, but cute at the same time... when i was like 5, i used to make my cat a birthday...

why not buy a cake? usually at a grocery store, the bakery can make you a harry potter cake.

Stick brooms in his cake as candles and then light them...That is how he would celebrate his birthday if he existed. If you're talking about the di ckhead who plays him in the movie - Daniel Radcliffe, then no - I mourn the day he was born, it's nothing to celebrate.
