Is my well running dry? It was dug 22 years ago...

does the well pump turn on and off alot???or run constantly???you may have a hole in a water line or in the well pipe. or you may need to have your pump lowered it may be sucking off.to tell this turn on the water remove the well cap end listen you will be able to hear the pump losing prime.

we had the same problem and it was just going dry. Right now there isnt much rain anywhere so after it starts raining again it should pick up. Also the color you are seeing could be iron in the water, a filter will take that out but i still wouldnt drink it.

it depends on where you live it may be drying due to the low water conditions around the united states i know in texas we are in a level 3 drought stage,,,try putting a pur water filter on the tap for drinking water

You might have a hole in the water line leading up to the house.

it sounds like your well is drying up. You will need to get a deeper one drilled
