i hibernate the laptop almost 3-4 times a day, due to my job profile. i think its correct to hibernate it in night also, so that i can start it quickly next day.

I don't see a problem with it but make sure you are not moving the laptop from place-to-place when it's in hibernation or standby mode. When you shut off your computer, the hard drive read/write head is PARKED, but I don't think it is when it's in hibernation or standby mode. I know of a friend who damaged her hard drive by doing so.
Think of it like those vinyl record players. When it's playing, the needle is on the record. If you pull out the power cord, the record will stop playing and the needle will be still on the record. When you plug it back IN, the record will continue where played last.

No it does not harm the hardware. Sometimes the machine needs to be restarted due to software bugs which slow down the machine if they keep running for a long time, it may be due to memory leaks etc. As long as the computer doesnt become slow its fine to do what you do...
