It's a garden party... not terribly formal. Some friends and acquaintances... should I wear a dress, a chinese top with black trousers or a tight paisley pattern top with cropped jeans and pumps? Or should I buy something new, if so, what?

Also, what way should I do my hair? It appears as in avatar.... long and very dark brown.

Please no silly suggestions...

Well if your having a party your friends or whoever will probrably be in the fashion so why don't you (being the hostess and all) be in the fasion but have your own style!!! People tend to look at hair first - for most people it looks better down straightened!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! y dont you treat yourself and buy summthing new and if your wearing shoes (which is most likely going to hurt!!) Then try them pads what you put in them - they realy work!!!!
gud look and decide with your heart!

gd luck! xx

The chinese top and black trousers sound nice, but for a garden party i think you want something abit brighter. Maybe a dress would be more appropriate for this occasion. Go for a bold colours or a pastel shade. Dresses are in fashion at the moment and there's loads to chose from, you'll know if it's the right dress once you have it on, it always looks better on than when it's on the hanger.
Good luck and have a good night
PS: no-one should care what your wearing as everyone if it's a good party should be pi$$ed anyway lol ;-)

If the weather is warm and you are doing the food prep, wear your Chinese top with trousers. You want to be loose and comfy, not hot and sweaty.
Low heels or no heels if you're going to be on your feet! A pretty pedicure!
Your hair? If you are doing the food prep, sweep it up into a chignon or ponytail and wear very lovely earrings. Bon appetite!

It's your party so you get to set the style. I like the idea of cropped jeans, but pumps sound fancy. Maybe you could wear something more casual and laid back with the outfit.

well it's been pretty hot these past few days...and the heat wave is only going to continue...that said, I suggest a cute dress, maybe something with spaghetti straps or strapless; wear it with sandals or even nice flip flops for a more casual yet put-together look. Put your hair up in a "messy" chignon or bun...if it's too "neat" it'll look to "formal" for the occasion..unless that's the look you're going for. Have fun!

i think the chinese top and black trousers sound good, then you can wear sandals. I think in a bun with the ends of your hair out the top of the bun so they can stick up very oriental very pretty

No one here knows you or is familiar with the daisies you have in the garden behind your trailer, so it makes little sense to ask us to dress you up and fix your hair for you.

Here's some advice: wear clean unders and brush your teeth.

I think the chinese top with a pair of black capris and sandals will suit you well as a party host..

Wear whatever is most comfortable and appropriate for the weather, and comfortable shoes as you'll be buzzing all over the place as hostess. Maybe it would be best to choose the shoes first and then dress to match them?
