I have a refridgerater that is several years old, it still has that new plastic smell which then transfers to food. I keep fresh baking soda in it and have tried cleaning with several cleaners and vineger, but I can't get rid of it. Any suggestions?

If washing it down with warm baking soda does not remove it... I would check with the manufaturer to see what the interior is made of and why there is a persistant odor. Messing with cleaners inside where the food is stored is only asking for more trouble.

Pour the baking soda into two bowls. Put one in the freezer and frige. It takes a while. Mix the baking soda every day.

OK here's the real answer! Buy two of the biggest onions you can, then cut them in half..two in the freezer..two in the cooler part. leave them for two days with the doors shut, then discard the onions and clean with any spray cleaner. TA-DA!! No more smells.
