On the yogurt question, probability is always a number between 0 and 1 inclusive, therefore it can't be 12, 60, or 40 and we know that 100% of the people will not like vanilla so the answer is not there. If your total sample is the 12 vanilla and the 8 banana, that would make your sample 20 so 12/20 prefer vanilla. You then multiply 12/20 by the total group of 160 and 96 should prefer vanilla.

a million. 3/40 = x/one hundred 30=4x -4x=-30 x = 30/4 or 7 2/4 or lowest term 7 a million/2 2. x/40 5 = 15 x=675 3. 4x + sixteen = 28 4x = 28 - sixteen 4x = 12 x = 3 4. 9 - 2x = 15 -2x = 15 - 9 -2x = 6 x = -3 im so very specific with my solutions!

Proportion Problem

3/40 = x/100

Multiply the means then multiply the extremes

40x =300

40x/40 = 300/40

Divide 40 from both sides

x = 7.5

the answer is x = 7.5

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

9-2x = 15

- 9 - 9

Subtract - 9 from both sides

-2x = 6

-2x/- 2 = 6/-2

Divide - 2 fro, both sides

x = -3
