Quit immediately! But... stained all the clothes for sweet sweet revenge! Or.. maybe not. just quit!

If you are only earning $2.00 per hour then you are being cheated. You should call the state fair labor practice office and file a complaint. Document as best as you can the hours you have worked in the past and the pay recieved.

You are owed back pay.

Also you cannot be terminated during the processing of this claim. No retribution later is permitted.

In the meantime use your time well and look for another job. But don't drop the compalint.

I work full-time and go to school part-time, so I didn't think I'd have time for a second job even though I desperately needed the money. When I heard about the Mary Kay opportunity I wasn't sure it was for me because I didn't think I'd be good at it, but after trying the products, seeing what they did for my skin, and how they sell themselves, I knew I had to get involved!

The great thing is that you can work it part-time, full-time, not at all, whatever you want. There are no deadlines, no bosses, no quotas, and you make 50% of everything you sell and it grows over time. It's money in your pocket - no waiting for a paycheck. The products sell themselves and the demand is so high, but people don't know where to buy it because we don't advertise. This is a great opportunity for sharp, positive women... The need is high, so the company needs more people to be of service.

Most people, women especially, are not appreciated or acknowledged as they should be in their career. This is why Mary Kay Inc. awards gifts, prizes (diamonds, cars, etc.) for every little achievement we make. Doesn't it feel great to be around positive people who recognize your success?

You can take the Life Can Be Good quiz to see if this is something for you (you must be 18 or older): http://www.marykay.com/adina_k/startabusiness/lifecanbegood/default.aspx

Have you ever heard, that it's easier to get a job if you have a job? It's true. Employers like the fact that you have prior job skills. Twenty for an 8 or 10 hour day? not good!

which country are you working in?

If you aren't paid enough then look around you and ask questions. Are others earning more than you are and what jobs are they doing? Find out what experience and education they needed to get the job that they have. Don't apply for that new job unless or until you know you are qualified, then apply quietly. having references, or having someone that you know already working at the place you plan to apply is sometimes a good thing as they can pull you in.

What is your hourly rate? It doesn't sound like he is even paying you minimum wage. If you are not being paid minimum wage, call the Department of Labor, report this, and get your back-due wages.

I agree - find somewhere else to work. You could make more than this at a fast food chain.

If you aren't happy with your job, for whatever reason, you should look for another one before quitting. Then be sure to give a 2 week notice or whatever you can work out with your current employer.

find another job then quit. just look around and you'll find something. don't work in another clothing store tho. go for something smaller and fewer employees then you'll have a better chance at getting a raise.

If you quit you won't be getting paid at all you need to have another job lined up first.

well you should inform your boss that there is something called minimum wage....and then you should leave considering you can get a job pretty much anywhere that pays better.
