I'll be 30 on August 19th. I've done some nice things in my life. Own a home, cool car, great family, lots of friends and a sweet guy I'm seeing. I have a cool career. I'm a Paralegal and a Law student. I'm a happy young lady. But with my birthday fast approaching, I feel as if there is something to be desired. I've been married before so it can't be that. I am a proud parent of beautiful children, so I'm cool there. I have a great relationship with God and we hit it off well. But somehow, as it relates to my achievements, I think I could have done more. Am I trippin'? Do any of you feel the same way? Tell me your story. 10 points to the best answer.

I PAID ATTENTION IN SCHOOL , GOT A GOVERNMENT JOB ( FOR LIFE ) AT SIXTEEN . I WORKED AND LEARNED AS BEST AS I COULD , I EVEN PLAYED A LOT OF SPORTS . I RETIRED AT THIRTY TWO , AND CAN STILL SMILE AT A SNOTTY COLLEGE "GRADUATE" KNOWING THEY HAVE HALF OF MY EDUCATION , AND WILL NEVER GET A JOB FOR LIFE IN HIS CENTURY . MOST YOUNG PEOPLE NOW , HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THE REAL WORLD IS ALL ABOUT ( NO P.C. , I-POD , D.V.D , CELL PHONE AND NO CAR ) AND MOST IMPORTANTLY ....NO RICH PARENTS TO PAY FOR COLLEGE OR LITTLE "TOYS " OR EVEN SPRING BREAK . YOU HAVE DONE VERY WELL ( EXCUSE THIS ) EXCEPT MARRIAGE . WHEN I WAS YOUR AGE THERE WAS NO DIVORCE FOR ANYBODY , PERIOD , SO THAT WAS A SERIOUS STEP NOT JUST A FAD . RELAX , PLAY WITH YOUR KIDS , YOU WORKED HARD FOR THIS . TAKE IT FROM ME , YOU DON'T GET A SECOND CHANCE .

Hey hon, I'll be 40 Sept. 4, and I know what you mean, actually the age thing hit me just the other day. I sat down and thought about my life, my accomplishments, my regrets, my current goals, all of the goals I never achieved, etc. I know where you are coming from.
I am happy right now, I have a awesome boyfriend and a decent job, I am in college to get a degree in what I seem to do best - Automotive(not actually turning wrenches, but the knowledge), I have regrets about my children - their father raised them and he poisoned them against me, my son and I have worked through our difficulties, my daughter and I are just starting to get our stuff together (they are 20 and 18), I have the most awesome granddaughter (through my ex-husband) who wishes to live with me. I have lots of friends, my mother is still alive and we have a great relationship, my father passed away last year - that was hard, he was my world. I have a half sister and I love her and she loves me.
I am on my spiritual path and very happy.
There are things I still have left to accomplish and I will.
I have learned not to stress over every little detail and I can't be responsible for everybodies troubles. I still like to help when I can, but I have to worry about me and mine first.
Thirty isn't as bad as forty- because at forty you start realizing that your body isn't indestructable, and the aches and pains start getting more than you can bare.
You find yourself making doctor appointments and visiting the pharmacy more.

I'm happy to a point, sure I'd love to be rich and all,but I guess I am rich and life is good.I have three beautiful children, loving husband,a home, and a car that loves to brake down. There is a lot of people who love me,even if they think I'm a little strange(That's why they love me!).I've been threw bad, really bad relationship's and made it.Almost died, when I lost a child, but I made it.About the only thing that could complete my life now is to have one of my book's published,so I can dedicate it to my father. But other than that if I can keep making it,I'll be Happy.Take my advise all who read this.....Live Life At A Snails Pace,You'll See More,Live More,And Love More.A happy life is knowing you have what you need most and that's love, you have that, You'll be Happy.

No, I grew believing that if you praise God, he will bless you with what your heart desires. I have not found that dream woman. I realize that sometimes your family don't love you like they should, and I realize that no one in the world gives a damn about you, even the church people. I tried going to different churches to fellowship, but all I came across were stuck up people. You are trippin. you have everything that I don't. Don't be selfish when you got it all.

You're trippin'. Life takes us where it takes us. We can have a significant influence over it. If you feel that there's more to accomplish you're right. You're not even half way done yet so pick something and go for it.
