Spider Gate is a privately own cemetery by the Worcester-Pleasant Street Friends Meeting (Quakers). It is in Leicester, Massachusetts on Earle Street and sits about 800 or so feet back off the road. Despite the fact some think that there are 8 gates to get in the cemetery there is only one - the cemetery has the main gate with the spider patterned wrought iron and is surrounded by a stonewall.
Anyone can visit the cemetery in daylight provided they use the main road entrance. Anyone trying to get in the cemetery after dark by way of the City of Worcester Reservoir land which borders the cemetery will be arrested by the frequent patrols there (homeland security on reservoirs and all). If you want to take pictures or video I believe you have to receive permission first. Just to add, much of the information on the supernatural at spider gates (Actualy named Friends Cemetery) is just folklore. I am a firm believer in the supernatural but I'm also a librarian (and I live in western Ma) and I have reasearched the cemetery and been there myself. I have come to the conclusion that the stories about it are created, or the few that may have a grain of truth are highly misrepresented.

I thought spider gate was in worcester/auburn...near Hope cemetary..there are big S's on the gates... It's haunted..been there...

Yes, I have heard of it. I tried to find it once, to no avail. Try going to www.ghostvillage.com.
They have a haunted places section, if you stick around enough, you may be able to get someone from MA to give you directions.
