I am a black, and not of American origin. I am seriously ashamed of Condoleezza Rice's stance in the affairs of the Middle East and elsewhere in the world. It looks odd to me to be seeing her, as a black American woman, therefore from a minority group, agree with Bush's racist policies abroad. Her job would have best befitted those hawks and warmongers like let's say Donald Rumsfeld.

She's supporting the Israelis in their apartheid ways, occupation of Arab lands, oppression of the Palestinian lands, etc. Iraq.

It makes me feel guilty as a blackman to see her trotting around ,
agreeing with Israel's methods, which are nothing short of state terrorism.

As an intellect and very smart woman, she should not have given her name and face to all of the Bushisms going on. She should have remained an academic person.

Okay so you're black. Who cares?? Get over it!! You really don't have a clue about what is happening in the West Bank do you? You just listen to your left wing liberal communists friends and think all white people are devils. While your at it, define minority. You really need to do your homework before popping off and showing everyone just how uninformed you really are.

I am neither a fan of most politicians, Bush or many republican policies, however I can't say I know what you mean by Bush's RACISM.
Obviously she's not been exposed to it and although I'm similar to how you've described yourself in many ways I'm not bigoted enough to believe that anyone who disagrees with me is stupid.

In fact as a former BIG fan of Colin Powell, I really respect Rice for being able to become SOS. That took a lot of smarts, a lot of patience and very thick skin. I think the woman should be respected for her brain, dedication and convictions.
I don't like Rumsfed either and I think he should be respected for the same things.
I think you need to try to look at things from her point of view. Some people have actually been able to move beyond using race and gender in their decisions. If she were a white woman or an Asian male would you feel the same?
If the woman is able to do what she's done, why do you feel the need to carry any guilt on her behalf?

I think somebody said it right, that greed and personal ambition had something to do with Rice's cozing up with the likes of Rumsfeld and Bush. Anyways, putting that point aside though, I find it disturbing when some of the posters call others ignorant when they themselves are obviously not very informed. If you are serious about getting to the bottom of the problem between the Israelis and the Arabs, perhaps you should do a little bit more digging around, before calling people names. That region of the world has known nothing but misery and death, for a long while now, and the reason for it is not always obvious to some of you. Here's something to "dig" on, if you've got enough time on your hands.

Bush is Republican, Not Racist. And no, I do not think that Condoleezza Rice is backing anything racist.

I Think that your problem is not with racism, but rather the stance taken by the US and Israel in the Middle East. As I remember, it was the muslim extremists that made this into a conflict between the west and Islam.

Why does your question state "women" and "Black"??? Why not talk about the Secretary of State. Does it matter if it is man or woman, Black or White, Red or Yellow??? I hear racist from a Black Man. Regardless of Codoleezza's sex or color, she is fulfilling her responsibility whether you agree or not. Leave color out of it. As a black man, why do you feel guilty???? Of what???? Maybe jealous that it is a woman and not a man?? I've never seen her "trotting around". Walking, Riding, Flying yes!! I think you have a thing against Bush. For the record, I'm not a Republican....never was.

Politics is not personal. Condoleezza Rice should not be behaving as a black woman, nor indeed, a white woman. Why would there be a difference anyway? Isn't it more racist to regard her as belonging to a minority group, and that therefore, she should behave in a particular way. Isn't what she is doing proving that she has transended the colour of her skin. Politics, should be about policies, and those policies shouldn't vary according to the colour of your skin or your sex.

I think it is very nice of you to think that way.

But I don't think you need to categorise human being by race. You are not her and another person. You don't owe anything from what she is doing.

Why don't you think this way that a lot of whites who are not in the US critisise Bush(a white), because he is doing something wrong. It is not because those whites don't want another white to do bad thing, but because Bush is doing wrong. The race doesn't matter. Not only whites but also everyone in the world thinks Bush is doing wrong. You could think and judge other people by the person not by the race.

I am neither a white nor a black. So my opinion is objective and I may not understand your feeling as a black enough. However I hope you don't feel that bad for the affairs of a politician in other country you even have not met.

Her options are fairly narrow as she sells Bush's policies that's her job.

She's trying to defend Isreal's right to exist as a state nation. She's fighting the methods employed by Hezbollah, I think the term used to describe their activity is 'terrorism'. You know, actions fuelled on hatred justified by Islamic extremism and manifested in bombings, suicide missions and murders of innocent Jewish civillians.

Surely isn't it time that somebody took some stance to make it all stop.

I like Condi. She's worked hard to get where she is. From a black girl growing up in Alabama in the 60's she's experienced her fair share of social injustice. She's a clever woman she knows there's no miracle solution to this problem. She know that this problem cannot be solved simply by Isreal ceasing their campaign.

What a remarkable woman she is!! Condi for president!!!!!

Get a clue about what is going on before you talk. OK if a group of people start kidnaping people and firing missiles into your country striking back is not racist.

What are the racist polices she is backing? I think you are looking at the world in a squeezed way. Or do you believe any successful black person has to be racist and a dog of the man because you are not successful and want something to blame other then yourself?

It appears to be quite obvious, there remain those in the world who continue to remain oblivious to what is actually taking place in the world.today.. Totally foregoing the fact, it has been going on for more than 30 years. It is now not confined to the middle east countries but, is basically a world wide conflict at this very moment. It remains a sad state, to see people continuing to wander about with blindfolds on remaining totally unaware of the actual state of the world.

I am white and of American origin. I am seriously proud of Bush and Condi. Now Bush is a racists because he has had 2 Sect of State of color. Your buddy bubba had who as sec of state. How many people of color were in his inner circle? The difference between GW and Billy boy is, GW wants to get into her mind for ideas and Billy boy only has ideas about figuring ways into her pants.
Israel is occupying Arab lands? Did not your precious UN give the land to Israel in 1948? Then their neighbors. Not just Saudia Arabia attacked Israel at least 3 different times.
I guess Iran and Hezbollah win your Nobel prize for peace for stating Israel has no right to exist?
Don't let anything like the facts get in the way of your hatred.
