Years ago, choice was common, but then "someone" (was it the public, or more likely, a high-flying whiz-kid from some supermarket think tank?) thought that we should be nannied into all eating brown eggs.
The biggest misconception about eggs is that the brown eggs are more nutritious and have more flavour than the white ones. The only difference between the two is that white feathered chickens lay eggs with white shells and brown hens lay brown eggs.
About the only nutrient that eggs are only lacking is Vitamin C and that’s because chickens are able to produce the ascorbic acid they need from their feed. A large egg contains only 75 calories and 5 grams of fat.
Europe has had domesticated hens since 600 B.C.
Chickens came to the New World with Columbus on his second voyage in 1493.
About 280 million laying hens produce some 60 billion eggs each year in the United States.
That’s roughly one hen for every man, women, and child in the country.
An average hen lays 300 to 325 eggs a year.
To produce one egg, it takes a hen 24-26 hours, and to do so, she requires 5 ounces of food and 10 ounces of water. Thirty minutes later she starts all over again.
A mother hen turns over her egg about fifty times per day (so the yolk won’t stick to the sides of the shell.)

Sorry no that's what eggs are like here, get used to it. They do exactly the same thing, what difference does the shell colour make?
What is white corn meal?
And why do you need to buy pancake mix? It's called flour, eggs and milk.

Brown eggs were laid by a different breed of chicken. They are fine to use . The inside is the same as a white egg. The shell is just a different color.

You don't NEED white eggs. You WANT them. Somehow, you've come to believe that white and brown eggs are different. They are, but only in shell color. The part you eat is absolutely the same in any egg of either color. It has the exact same food value, number of calories and make up. Get over your biases and eat the eggs you find. Life might get easier for you.

Let me guess...... you've been watching Delia Smith's cookery shows *rolls eyes*.
You don't NEED white eggs...... brown eggs are exactly the same inisde..... all White Eggs do is look pretty in front of the TV Camera.

Ask the store keeper. They may special order for you.
Lagon chicken, packine ducks( not sure about spelling) lay white eggs. Most other birds lay off colour or spotted eggs.

Why are you all being so judgy about this question? She probably needs white eggs for a craft project, such as dying Easter eggs, which is an American tradition. I'd like to know where to get them too.
