Any one out there with ulcerative colitis or chrones ever had shingles?

The diseases are generally exclusive of each other. Shingles (herpes zoster) is an extremely painfull inflammation of the nervous system for which there is no known cure.

I have colitis now and have had Shingles as a child and a teen. I was told that shingles comes from nerves. Being nervous or worrying about things. I haven't been told that they are connected but now that you have brought this to my attention I will definatly be discussing this with my doctor. Thank you.
