Do Locusts Bite

Yes locusts can bite. I know for a fact as I have been bitten.
The bite is just a pinch. It does hurt a little, but as much as a normal pinch would. The pain goes away soon. The extent of the bite is based on the size of the locust. The larger the locust the bigger its mouth/jaw and so the harder the bite.

I think you're talking about the grasshopper type of locust. They won't bite to eat you. But they will bite to defend themselves. It won't draw blood, but it's quite a pinch. They have to be of a large size in order to even do that much.

no. actual locusts dont bite or hurt. locusts are herbivores and have short antennas (much shorter than its body), eat grasses mostly. grashoppers are predators, have long antenas, big ones can bite painfully
