I went out with a guy for almost a year, he has a bunch of my things, mostly stuff I lent him like a carpet shampoo-er..a modem..etc. he also has my kids moped as he said he was going to do some minor repairs on it for them. He took this moped in his truck last summer and he lives 30 miles away from me. All i have is a car , so it is not like I can put this thing in my trunk. Now he refues to return all my stuff. I have a few things of his (nothing expensive or worth anything) and I told him I would leave this stuff in my garage and for him to bring my stuff up and take his stuff (while I am at work). he works 5 minutes from my house and he will not exchange stuff. What can/should I do? It has been two months since we broke up and we have not communicated other then me leaving him an email asking to exchange stuff, and I also mailed him a letter asking him the same. One month agao I left a voice mail on his phone...still nothing. My kids are really upset about this

first of all, where do you live, if your close ill get your stuff back

you could call him at work, constantly, and tell his friends at work what he did to you and your kids.
trust me, if you harass him at work enough he will budge

second idea is, you could give him the impression you want to get back together, and let him think its all good and bring the stuff back, then as soon as you have it all, just throw his *** out, call the cops, and get a restraining order.

or, go flatten the tires on his truck ;p
you can try to call the police, maybe if the cops is nice he will go to his job and ask him to return the stuff.

you can also take him to small claims court, depending on what state your in, it cost barely anything to take someone to small claims court, and the judge will surely rule in favor of the women with kids over him

The police will say oh another domestic issue, and are not really bothered. Go and get it, and take a few bouncers with you just incase he wont give it back, and they can go in ang get it.

If this is a big issue and he is not cooperating or refusing to give back your things, then you may need to get the authorities involved.
