You get someone to help you. Then they ease the skin and flesh, bit by bit, down, under and through the ring, until you yourself can squeeze it a bit more, -over the knuckle, and then they have another go, and so on.
Trust me, -I'm a jeweller! -I've done a couple of hunded in my time!
Failing that, then get your local jeweller, nurse, firemen, to use the special cutter for just that job.
Final scenario is a pair of plain old wire-cutters, but take lots of cae!,
Good luck,
Tich

1. Soak your hand in ice-cold water if it is swollen. Wait 5 to 10 minutes for the swelling to recede.
2. Apply lubricant around the ring and up the length of your finger. Hand lotion, dishwashing liquid or olive oil will do the trick.
3. Twist the ring as you slowly work it up and over the knuckle. You may need to apply some force to get it over the first knuckle. Make sure to twist, not tug.
4. If the ring still won't budge, visit a doctor to have it removed.
Seriously, soaking in cold water really helps as well as remembering that you have to TWIST NOT TUG.
ALSO, I've heard that windex or other glass cleaner will work as well, I haven't tried that myself so I can't vouch for it, but it's worth a try right?

During the day, your body tends to swell up a bit. Urgh. There's a phrase here I'm looking for that I'm just not finding! Like water retention or something. But anyway, there's also one time of the day when you're joints will be *less* swollen, too. I think it's first thing in the morning.
But as long as it's not cutting off circulation or anything that's worrying you other than it just won't come off (my husband's wedding ring is like that. lol), then just keep twisting it around, at odd times throughout the day. Make it a habit to play with your ring all day long! lol It'll slip off eventually. Maybe even try to get it off before you get out of bed in the morning.

Dental floss. Start a tight wrap at the next joint farther down the finger. Wrap tightly as you work your way toward the ring. Once you have your finger compressed all the way to your ring, re-add some lubricant like dish soap and it should twist off.
Good luck!

One of the most important things is to make sure you or someone else pulls back on the skin behind the ring. This way you are not trying to go over the loose skin. A little bit of baby oil or some type of grease will help greatly but the skin needs to be pulled back toward you hand.
Also if need be you can go to a jeweler and they can cut it off but then you have to get it resized or go to a store and they will help you get it off

Try getting your hand really cold. My rings always fit looser when I am cold, I guess b/c of finger shrinkage. Maybe try putting your hand under a bag of ice for awhile. Good Luck!

Stay away from any salt or anything that will puff you up. You may have an easier time in the evening taking it off, we tend to be puffier in the morning.
