Depending on were and when you buy it???
I would say 500-800 dollars Canadian.
Never buy the first two frame wares. For example the first few ps2 models costed about $700 new and there were many errors. About 6-12 months later the same system was improved with less errors and only costed $400.
So by waiting 6-12 months your saving $300 and getting a system with less errors. There's no way to beat that deal. I'm pretty sure the PS3 will have some errors at first too.

From what I've read it's going to cost more than it's worth. Sure it's going to have all sorts of stuff packed into it but if you're looking for a gaming platform the 360's a better buy. Sony seems to have lost sight of it's Play Station roots, back when it was a gaming platform and a pretty good one too. Now they've gotten just all sorts of out of control and seem to be ignoring what we the consumer desire from a gaming system. I think they're just plain insane in the corporate brain to feel justified in even proposing the retail cost of the PS3. Methinks the "3" in PS3 means three times the cost of other equal or better systems.

It will cost $499 for the PS3 with 20 gig harddrive and $599 for the PS3 with the 60 gig harddrive.

dont even bother getting the 499 one cause ur gunna WANT the 599 one. me, i'd get an xbox360. but if you want a PS get the more expensive one
