One thing new mothers should take into consideration is...that the baby grows into a pre-schooler... and they have to learn how to spell their first name before grade one. So in choosing a name they should try to keep the first name so as there child can work more easily with it when the time comes for school. Something short and easily understood to them. In your case you are wanting to use Nicholas, which is ok- if you are going to be calling him by the short form of Nicholas- which is " Gage" and it's a name that he can switch back to Nicholas when he's an adult. Nicholas is an Old French name and it means " unusually handsome" Gage is the short version of it. It's a good choice. Nicholas Namesake: Nicholas Cage.

The middle name doesn't really matter all that much when it comes to school as they can learn it in grade three or four for that matter, so it can be with as many letters as you like.
Your choice for a girl's name is also very good. It is of Latin origin. Variations of " Grace " are: Gracey ; Grazia ; Graise .
The name also has some
Namesakes: Grace Kelly and Gracie Allen
Also according to Roman mythology the " Gracies " personified " Truth, Beauty, and Charm " The Greeks called them " Charities ". The individual names were Thalia ( flowering), Aglara ( wisdom) and Euphrosyne ( Joy).

Congratulations on having choosen a name this early, it took my husband and I months to do that. We were going to do Nicholas Ian for a boy. I always wanted Kassandra Grace or Naomi Grace. My niece is Sierah. BUt choose whichever names you and the father can live with yelling down the block in five years.

I think they are both nice. I named my son Alexander. I love the name Ciara Grace too. I think you should give your name the name you choose. Good luck.

I guess it depends on if you want a real common name. The name ciarra is getting to be very popular. What about Grace for the first name? Or Gracen? Good Luck!!

Its not bad, but your daugher will get a lot of people mispronouncing her name (some even telling her that it is spelled wrong) and other similar issues. My wife is named Jaelithe, which was bad enough, but when she married me her last name became Judy and she has had people tell her that she is wrong and that her first name is Judy.
