I would choose mortal life... Though we do sometimes complain about life being too short... I'd be bored of living eternally, too tired and too old, always thinking about the friends I used to have!

Immortal life. The reasons are multiple, hopefully in order of importance:

1. since I don't know whether or not there is an after-life, I'd rather play it safe and stick with what I know: life on earth (or in this universe) and forever.

2. Having a bit of knowledge on human history, I find it hard to believe I would ever be bored enought to want to die. Sure, even in a short life there are dull moments, but they never really last. Being immortal, I'm sure I would develop into a much more patient person and be able to handle longer and longer dull moments. But in an unpredictable universe, you know at one point or another something interesting will pop up.

3. I'm always curious to see what humanity will come up with next (whether in physical sciences, sociology, exploration of one frontier or another, etc.) and being immortal would ensure that I would see it all.

4. As I would move along in the future one would hope that my knowledge, wisdom and experience would increase also. As such, I could take more active roles in guiding humans towards better decisions to tackle whatever problematic of the moment. It seems to me that an active role in this manner would also help defeat the problem of boredom highlighted in point 2.

5. Humanity's eventual expansion into the rest of the galaxy, and later universe, will also be interesting and raise a whole bunch of new things to look at and think about and I don't want to miss it.

6. Planning for the future also becomes way easier, since you know that you'll have time to do anything you want later (or at least until the universe ends depending on which cosmological theory you accept). That one should appeal to any dedicated procrastinator.

7. I think immortality pretty much beats mortality in terms of appeal.

Mortal life because mortal or immortal, I would still have feelings for people and to see the people I care about die over and over again, I'd want to kill myself but I couldn't die could I?

I gave up on getting pregnant once I have been given divorced. i'm approximately to resign on the Tigers (back) through fact i do no longer think of they're going to win the WS interior the 30 years or so as that I truly have left to stay. I held directly to a marriage for 22 years through fact I had made a promise with my husband and with God to be married. regrettably i could no longer cope with it anymore.

Strange but I would pick mortal. I hope there is something wonderful waiting for us after we die.
