It's something you both have to put an effort in. Communicate, discuss if you really want to save the relationship. Talk about what you had, and if you want to gain that back. You will both have to give each other the benefit of the doubt. Agree to rebuild your trust in each other. Good luck...

Since I have such a hard time trusting someone, once they've broken my trust - I can't ever trust them again!! This may be a fault of mine, but it works for me...
But people have told me if you want trust someone again, you have to build it back up slowly, trusting small things first and then building on that.

Trust is very difficult to restore, but if you have really forgiven him and he has accepted that he made a mistake and will not do it again, try to forget it. because even if you forgive but you always remeber it, it is impossible to return the trust back. Forgive and forget, have a new beginning.
