Is sex needed?

Sex is definitely needed to release tension and reproduce. My sexual desire is to have an orgasm every time me and my man have sex because men ALWAYS have an orgasm, but women don't always have one so basically I desire to have more of them without doing it myself. LOL!!!

I think sex is needed for continuing life and civilization. (If everyone had to get artificial inseminations, I think and population would plummet, and you'd have serious social problems.)
If it happens in some contexts (a committed, secure, relationship between mature adults), it is also useful, but not necessary, for personal fulfillment and happiness.
Aside, it is also good--and by no means mere coincidence--that the civilizational aspect and the individual happiness aspect work in harmony.

Only a human has a choice, without a need, but with a very strong urge. Those who are intense enough to explore by going beyond nature, easily overcome this urge.

hai friend,i dont know whether it is useful to you,because by having this kind of desire in heart one can't be happy at any time.it burns like fire in the heart and it will kills you and it will make you become frustrated and leace you to forget you completely.so as a friend i am saying you that just view the websites of krishna conscious movement,you feel very different and relieved.ok

If there is no sex, then there is no meaning in life. Basic needs for humans are food, shelter, and clothing. Sex comes fourth.

no, its not physically reqiured, but most people think its a need because it's a natural instinct to want to have sex. It's a hormonal thing, but you wont die if you dont get it....ya just might be pretty bored ;)

besides the release and the enjoyment, there is the basic human need to be close to someone...sex is needed for that...
