Whenever i brake and come a complete stop, i can hear a knocking sound which sounds like some rod under my car swinging and hitting the car but once it looses its momentum it stops, it sound like tock tock tock... then stops. it sounds like its coming from the rear left wheel but i went down to have a look and see nothing that is loose...

Since you didn't mention feeling a vibration in the petal, I'd guess a stabilize link is broken up front or some other suspension part is broken. Check for a broken shock mount too.

i answered this honestly...it sounds like the ball barrings...if you don't believe me have it checked out..you still need to have it serviced otherwise.nobody can really give you a good diagnostic over the Internet without seeing the car.and just because im a woman doesn't mean i don't know anything about cars.least my answer is smartassed.
