Whenever i brake and come a complete stop, i can hear a knocking sound which sounds like some rod under my car swinging and hitting the car but once it looses its momentum it stops, it sound like tock tock tock... then stops. it sounds like its coming from the rear left wheel but i went down to have a look and see nothing that is loose...

Rhythmic knocking most generally comes from the motor and is usually associated with rod bearings or the main bearings. Since you say it sounds as though it's coming from the left rear wheel, it might be a CV joint, though I don't know whether your car has them on the rear. It's time for you to see a mechanic you trust. No one is going to be able to accurately diagnose the problem without physically inspecting your car. All you're going to get here are contradictory opinions, more from people who don't know anything but want to say something rather than from people who have a good basic knowledge of automobile mechanics.

that was in my car too. i think they said it was a loose axel or strut...don't remember, but get it fixed as soon as you have money. don't wait too long, mine was doing it for weeks and was still okay, but if you have money fix it now to be safe.
