You need to winterize the unit by draining all the water out of the pan and water line. Also, take out the filter and lay it out to dry, in the sun. Don't stop here!!! You also have to make sure the water line to the unit is turned off and drained. Then cover it with a cover or tarp to be ready to use next season. Good Luck
