Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse in Fort Worth - http://www.delfriscos.com/

We liked it better than Ruth's Chris in North Dallas, which was surprising!

Some others that I have heard good things about:

III Forks (North Dallas) - http://www.3forks.com/index.cfm

Silver Fox Steakhouse (Grapevine, Fort Worth, Richardson) - http://www.silverfoxcafe.com/

Bob's Steak and Chop House (Dallas, Plano) - http://www.bobs-steakandchop.com/

For something a little more affordable, Saltgrass has some good meat, and there's always Outback.

If Dunston's Steakhouse on Harry Hines is still there, go there. Gene Dunston used to cook the meanest steak around, all different cuts, too. My brothers and sisters and I all started off bussing tables there then we ended up waiting tables as the years went on. We always ate dinner at work because it was just soooo good. They have like a little drive through place next door, but I would go in the restaurant next to it.

Del Frisco's steakhouse is super nice. This is a place where a jacket and tie might not be "required", but you'll feel like a loser if you aren't wearing one.

BE AWARE. One steak, one salmon entree, one shared side and a low-end bottle of wine ran about $100.00 and that was seven years ago...

outback sucks, for cheap quick good steak Texas Roadhouse or Logans roadhouse is good. for something a bit better, but more expensive, in dallas go to lawry' or bob's steak and chop house. in fort worth to go H3 ranch or Cattlemans.

Ruth Chris's, Lawry's (my favorite...they bring the grill to your table...dress nice...slacks and nice shirt), Bob's Chop House (another good one), and Texas De Brazil
