I'm 21 this year. I manage to get into law school because my A level grades was good but my GP was C6.

I will be commencing the degree in 2008. I do have time to polish up my English, I suppose but I need help. I wouldn't mind spending. I have tried the British council unfortunately they do not have what I need. Does anyone know of any institution that can cater to my needs?

I have been reading alot more than I used to, newspaper, newsweek, times etc.

follow your heart as long as you're realistic. If you think you have the capacity to do it, go for it :) working hard always pays off, practise a lot, and do everything in your power to alleviate your alleged flaws in the subject. good luck ;)

Not if you are a bad English student. You need to have a very good understanding of English grammar rules for law school. Something as simple as the capitalization of ONE letter can change the meaning of a contract completely.

Law school is not going to wait for you to get on everyone else's English level.

I think U should accept it. Opportunity knock only once and U may live to regret if U don't do so now. U can brush up your English before the course and do a lot of reading. It will improve gradually.

How old are you ?

You could improve your english if you need to. it is not a big deal, it is just a matter of Desier, Will, Effort and Money.

(Money for taking english lessons that are normaly expensive).

But, if you are in a hurry to be a lawyer, then forget about it. it will not work. since english is needed!

yes while you are studying your english will improve if you work at it hard enough. Do a lot of extra reading and use audio books to improve when you have time.
